Professional Development
Conroe isd sso encourages its staff members to take advantage of professional development opportunities available. Teachers can join Professional Learning Communities where they can collaborate on sharing knowledge while analyzing recurring data to enhance classroom instruction.
The District offers its teachers technological resources that will assist their students and improve classroom efficiency, including eLearning models, interactive Smart Boards, WebPC laptops and Chrome carts.
The CISD Education Foundation also offers scholarships to graduating students seeking teaching careers by providing tuition and book costs as well as support for teacher certification programs. Lastly, current CISD teachers looking to advance their careers by receiving support through these scholarships are also assisted through this Foundation.
Technology
CISD’s technology capabilities ensure students have access to cutting-edge tools that enhance learning. From the average classroom environment, Bilingual/ESL programs and GT/Advanced Academic programs – every student and teacher have access to high speed internet and curriculum-specific software in order to maximize organization and learning opportunities.

Student Support

CISD is not only adding new resources but also staff members this year. According to Bethany Medford, deputy superintendent for the district, many assistant principals and counselors were added during this year alone.
Provide leadership and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the CISD Instructional Model and best practices across all content areas, including behavior. Coordinate with classroom teachers, campus administration, Student Support Services District Coach/Coordinator as well as Special Events as assigned for solving student issues or problems. Participate in staff development activities and special events on an as needed basis.

Conroe ISD serves students from 42 elementary schools, 7 junior high schools and 5 high schools within its boundaries spanning 42 cities (Conroe, Montgomery, Shenandoah & Spring) plus Montgomery County.
CISD teachers take their careers and their students’ education seriously, going above and beyond classroom help to support them outside it as well. For instance, graduating students who wish to pursue teaching careers are assisted with scholarships that cover tuition, books and more if needed.
